I'm sorry momma :o(
Olivia came home to a turnado of yarn last night, among other stuff, thanks to Patch. Patch stays home in a play pen all day and lately he's been getting lonely and restless :o( Well a few weekends ago he got out and I'm assuming that in the last few days he's been attempting to get out. He DID yesterday and it wasn't a good thing. There is nothing worse than unraveling yarn especially after your crazy dog has been playing with it for who knows how many hours. I think he knew that he was in big trouble because he acted like such a baby last night. I think his mom has forgiven him and we managed to get most of the yarn untwisted. There was no knitting last night since we had to fix his mess.
here is the picture of my bulky hat I finished the night before. I used Rowan Big Wool (027 Best Brown)

2nd Hat in the Round
COMPLETE :o) On Saturday Olivia and I went to the Knit and Crotchet Show in Oakland. It wasn't what I expected and I didn't really find anything I liked but I did get a pattern for a bulky hat in the round. I never actually thought I could knit something in just a few hours. The size 15 needles helped :o) It went by really fast. I think I spent a total of 3 hours on it and I love the way it looks. My next one though will have to have more stitches casted on, it's a bit small but I think it'll fit Rocky. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow.
I started my Kitty Pi (http://wendyknits.net/knit/kittybed.htm) it only took me about 6 times of trying it. Amy tried it, Olivia tried it and for some reason we couldn't get it started. Last night I tried again and IT WORKED. I'm so excited. Of course for me this will be a Doggie Pi since I'm making it for Patch.

First Hat in the Round
I have only been knitting a little over 6 months (I think) so it has only been recently that I've ventured away from making scarves. Olivia and I took a felted vase class last month and that was a lot of fun. We learned to knit on double pointed needles. I was a little lost at first but then I got the hang of it. When we started knitting we had no idea that quite a few of our friends were also knitters. We started a Stitch n Bitch group and meet every other week. The bad thing about this is that now we've seen all the cool things we can make and that it's really not all that hard. Now we've become Knitting Monsters and can't get enough of it. I made my first hat on straight needles and it turned out okay but it had a seam so ever since then I've been wanting to make a hat in the round. I DID!!! I was so excited. I asked a few questions at the knitting store, used one of our books to answer others and looked at the handy dandy instruction pictures. I used size 8 needles and Cascade 220 yarn.
